First and foremost you have to be a fan of beer, otherwise this might not be the place for you..it is a brewery......
Took a large group on a Friday night (I made reservations that afternoon), and had a blast. In addition to the beers Kona is known for such as long board or firerock, there are other limited or seasonal beers on draft (I had a lemon grass wheat beer??) the service was excellent, and they were able to split the checks!
Food paired well with the food. Kona has a fairly large selection of sandwiches, pan pizzas, and tacos. Most use Hawaiian ingredients such as Kahlua pig, and papaya salad. I got the Cubano and was pleasantly surprised.
