Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings - Flushing

Great late night eating in Flushing!

A step up from Ding Tai Fung. Walking thru the forest (there's a forest in the entrance), there are more options and not as expensive (although you can spend a pretty penny here). Xiao Long Baos are good, we didn't get the colored ones as we were looking to get the normal baos. The other plates were still good, but the star of the shows were the soup dumplings.

Pro-tip- try to get some meat skewers prior to coming here as an appetizer.

MrBeast Burger

Feed the Mr. Beast?

Burger was actually ok. Nothing special and a bit pricey.
The fries were the best part of the meal. Crispy and not too oily. The drinks were standard fountain drinks. The other burgers were just variations of the same burger, but marketed with the friends name. The store was actually well stocked with gear, however I hear Mr. Beast is feuding with the manufacturer.

As it's a long distance from NYC, there are better options at the mall. It's worth to check out and perhaps even eat at one time, but that's all.

District Saigon

Solid pick in Astoria-

Was able to accommodate a large group of 10, while keeping a good ambiance.

Good drinks, pho, bahn mi, and bun cha noddles. The deserts were average, nevertheless, had a good time.

Also, obviously not comparing this to food Mecca of Little Saigon.

Grandma Kim's Family Diner

This is a cozy Korean family restaurant. Yes there's BCD Tofu down the road, and yes it's slightly more expensive, but if you're going for authentic and quality, this is the place to go.

To keep it simple, just go here for the tofu pot, and bim bim bap.

Bluesalt Fish Grill

Good food, although a bit on the pricey side.

The fish is very fresh, there's a multiple of items such as fish tacos and the standard grilled fish plate.

This location can get quite busy and the parking lot is small. Would come back here on a special occasion.

Cafe Crepe

You're on the Santa Monica Promenade.  All the restaurants are packed. What to do?

As a local, I usually would stay away from the 3rd Street Promenade to eat, but if you find yourself there, or are entertaining guest, I would recommend Cafe Crepe as a good place to go eat.

The wait is relatively short, since the turnaround is short on eating crepes.

The crepes are good (nothing too special), but they offer a wide variety of both savory and sweet crepes to satisfy the stomach!

Taste Unlimited

I'm a fan!

Yes, it Taste is a bit on the Wholefoods/Hipster side, but the food is tasty and relatively decent in price.

Taste Unlimited is half marketplace/half causal dining (you order and pick it up). The market place has nuts, sauces, and other food items which are great for gifts. The dining portion carries mainly sandwiches, salads, fried mac and cheese, and things you would see at wholefoods market (while being more homely)
