Yes I came to Hawaii to eat steak.
Hys steak house along with Chucks cellar are two true steak houses in Waikiki. Sorry Shorebirds, I don't fancy cooking my own steak.

Who wears collar shirts in Hawaii? Hawaiian shirts are okay. Hys steak house is definitely the higher end of the two steak houses, with a very fancy yet dated ambiance. Waiters are very professional and accommodating.
The prime rib is is good along with the Delmonico, which is cooked with Kiawe wood is an excellent choice. With a drink, your tab is going to be about 60-70 dollars.
FYI CHERRY JUBBILEE, this is 20 dollar show to impress your date
The million dollar question is why go to Hawai'i for a steak? I'm still asking myself that.

Hakata Ikkousha Ramen

Strong here is the ramen spirit.

Hakata Ramen is a franchise from Japan that has joined the growing number of Ramen shops in Torrance, The staff here is excellent, and the shop has a very strong ramen vibe. And as you know for most places..only the strong survive.

Three Basic choices, Tonkatsu $9, white tonkatsu $9  (shio flavor) and black tonkatsu (black sesame) $10

Very good ramen, not too heavy or too light. Also since i went there late night, the extra toppings were 1/2 off. Only knock would be all of the extra toppings are extra $$..makes the shop focus on soup, and noodles.

Yes its $$$ on Yelp, but the "Piano Hour" AKA happy hour is awesome (5PM-7PM).

The food is a bit petite, but it's fine dining with a fraction of the price. Service is top notch, and the ambiance is very relaxed, yet upscale Larsen's is totally a date place...will the girl be okay with going to a happy hour dinner??

My new favorite Mexican joint in Oxnard. Can't beat the Specials. Lots of choices in meats - they have tripas, buche, even goat! Salsa bar is awesome...Lots of choices. Service was awesome, and speedy delivery of food

Overall great experience! Who said Oxnard didn't have good food

Toki Ramen

One of Oxnard/Ventura's only real Ramen shop

Solid ramen shop- good but not great if you're comparing to LA.

Has a good selection of tonkatsu Ramen ( hope you can eat pork). Most popular dish is the volcano ramen which is a bit spicy.

Prices are a bit higher in the $10-$15 dollar range, but they do a pretty good job
