Father's Office

LA has great weather and super trendy restaurants. Father's Office is by far a trendy restaurant.

Sweet potato fries are super awesome.
The burger comes with gruyere, blue cheese,  caramelized onions and of course spinach.
Beer selection is amazing.

Seating gets tricky at night time...so I would recommend coming early especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

Be prepared to drop some $$$ here. The burger is $12, and an average draft beer cost around $8. (With an open tab ..that gets pretty pricey)

F.O. is a cool place, maybe for a date...or if you're trying to impress some east coast friend expecting a good time in LA.

Big Wing Wong

Cheap-o eats in NYC.

Wandering around NYC's chinatown, you get an array of chinese restaurants to choose from. Some have flashing neon signs, while others have exotic animals hanging from the front.

Big Wing Wong is a good choice if you are looking for some place cheap and decent to eat. The roast duck is pretty good, and they have a decent lobster special. The only downsides are that the portions are kind of small, and don't expect 5-star service.

I wouldn't go out of my way to find this place...but if you do stumble upon it...it's a safe place to go to.

Merilu

Small place, Long pizza

After wandering around the theater district, Merilu came up as a place to go eat.
Merilu is small place...there's 10 seats in the whole place. The service was okay...typically if you are used to New York service.
And the pizza?...for a thin crust pizza it was very good...and then Merilu does hold its own because the pizza taste homemade..but don't expect to be blown away

Definitely more of a date-hipster kind of place....it's not a fold a pizza joint.

Good Kitchen Seafood Restaurant

It's so good,it's the only Chinese place that i go in Flushing.

Looking for some quality Chinese food? Good Kitchen has it all..honey walnut shrimp, lobster, noodles..and of course dim sum.  Although it is more on the pricier side, they do have the quality of food to back it up. There's plenty of room to sit..but it does get rather crowded.

Seriously..whenever I go out with family in new york, this is the only Chinese place we go to.

Chinatown Ice Cream Factory

Almond cookie and egg custard ice cream? Chinatown Ice cream factory is definitely worth a trip while you are in NYC.

Yes this place is a little pricey, and they "had"a Jeremy Lin topping (now that he's in Houston..I'm not sure if they have it).

If you are up for trying exotic flavors this place is great without going too weird. Black Sesame, egg custard and almond cookie are all great to try.
