Ramen Hayatemaru

Asa Ramen lite...

Very good ramen, if you're down for a creamier heavier soup base. If you've been to Asa ramen down the street on Western, it is very comparable...except Ramen Hayatemaru is not as rich with the broth, a little more variety (such as pork bowls, gyoza, and kariage) and has a more picture friendly menu.

Seating is not too bad, and the parking at the plaza is halfway decent. Definitely coming back here on a cold day!

Khun 9 Thai Kitchen

Cool local Thai restaurant.

Although the space is a bit small, khun 9 is a great local place to eat Thai food.

Food is very tasty, and is very authentic, as the staff is mostly from Thailand.
If you're a spicy head like me, then ask for your meal to be made "Issan" style.

Pad Thai and crying tiger are my favorite, and if you're not too hungry try the pappya salad.
Awesome place, definitely will come back again.

Sam's Texas Sub Shop

Great subs, great service, great atmosphere...can't go wrong with that

Mom and pop shop, with a wide array of subs. The menu seems like it changes daily, and the prices are really reasonable...(around $8-$9 plus side per sub). I had Brock's Reuben....it felt like its home made.

If I'm back in the area looking for a quick lunch....this will be my place to go

Havana

Cuban themed restaurant with a Good ambiance and okay food

Prices are a bit high for this place but the Seafood burrito was great; had a lot of scallops and seafood, although a bit on the pricey side (around $25). The seafood burrito is probably the main reason to go here. Comes with whole scallops and other assorted seafood that fill you up. The burger was okay; my friend got it because it was around $10.

This is definitely a date place, or place to check out once in a while for a special occasion. However being in downtown Norfolk.....it is one of the few non-American restaurants

Azar's Natural Foods Market & Cafe

Really good Greek/ Mediterranean  food in Norfolk, VA

Good selections of gyros, falafals and humus, meet is really tender and for the most part the prices are reasonable.

The only issue I had was the yogurt soup tasted like ranch soup.....not really in my taste

Basically if you're from So. Cal, this place is a more authentic version of Daphne's (Greek Food) with deserts and other good stuff.

The Greene Turtle

Can't go wrong with the Greene Turtle...

Came here for lunch because we tried the three other bar restaurants (buffalo wild wings, bar Louie, and park lane).

Out of the four, Greene Turtle had a more mainstream menu and more main stream beer, and is definitely more of a "sports bar" than the other places.

For food I'm going to stick with Bar Louie and Park Lane down the plaza; otherwise for watching sports, I'm heading to the Greene turtle.
