Hide sushi is a no frills, over crowded haven for sushi. The restaurant setting sucks, the parking sucks, and there is a long line to get in. The sushi is probably some of the best I've had in LA.
I got the Mix-8 ($9.90) (3 pieces norimaki, 2 pieces inari, and 1 piece each of tuna shrimp and halibut), and a charashi ($12) (basically an enhanced donburi bowl). I felt you got a better value out of the mix-8.
The sushi platters are what to get here though. There are only 7 different ones, but each stand their ground. If you are more hungry, the sashmi dinner was also highly recommended. They have very simple sushi menus. There are no California rolls here....just very authentic sushi from Japan.
Definitely would come back again!
