When visiting Lake Arrowhead, a member of the group I was with, suggested Papagayo's Mexican Restaurant & Catina. There was a lakeside patio, but it seems most of the business occurred inside the restaurant. The decor is very much like Island's burger chain.
I got the Chile Colorado plate, which was a heaping amount rice, beans and meat. It is very filling. The portions are quite big. The burritos are probably a little bigger, and longer than Chipotle's burritos. The meat isn't like the one's you would find on the streets of LA, but it still was decent.
It's not the most authentic Mexican food, but the restaurant is located in Lake Arrowhead, (very close by Big Bear). For where it is, it is a decent spot to go to if you are very hungry.
